Photo diary: East Africa with photographer Carmen Huter

When it comes to capturing beautiful destinations both near and far, photographer Carmen Huter is a pro. Literally. Seeking out new places for her camera to fall in love with, Huter drove across East Africa, telling us that Uganda was a complete standout. “The lush hills carve deep into bright blue volcanic lakes. On the other side, nestled deep into the jungle, curious gorillas and chimpanzees paint an otherworldly picture of real exploration. In addition to the pearl of East Africa, both Tanzania and Kenya are home to wildlife so raw, epic, and free,” she says. “I struggled to put the camera aside.”
