1. Kamimura

Perfect for…a fancy night out. Sit back, relax, and savor an excellent meal at this Michelin-star French restaurant that serves a delectable fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine. Dinner is served at 6:00pm.

Where: 044-0080 Kutchan-cho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido, Niseko Hirafu 1-jo 3-chome 2-3, Shiki Niseko (Chatrium Niseko) 1F

Reservations: You can book here as early as 90 days in advance or until 10pm the day before. Groups of 13pax or more must book the restaurant for private use. Note that children under 7 years old aren’t allowed entry, and only a maximum of 3 children under 12 can be accommodated for each booking. Closed on Sundays.

Tip: Want to stay close by? Chatrium Niseko is in the same building!

2. A Bu Cha 2

👥 Perfect for…large groups. This cozy Japanese restaurant is just what you need on a cold winter night. Serving hot pot, sukiyaki, and other Hokkaido specialties, their extensive a la carte or set menus are sure to satisfy the whole family. There’s a Chicken Teriyaki Set or Zangi Fried Chicken Set that’s right up kids’ alley, while their wine, beer, sake, and extensive drinks menu (over 300+!), will definitely keep the adults entertained.

3. Sushi Hanayoshi

🍣 Perfect for…a delicious yet intimate dinner. Make some room for fresh seafood and sushi flown in daily from the Tsukiji Market! This small, traditional restaurant has no need for fancy frills when authentic flavors are always on the menu. Don’t miss their Omakase Set that includes sashimi, seafood salad, hairy crab, savory custard, seasonal seafood dishes, rice, miso soup, and dessert.

4. Robata Niseko Naniwatei

🥩 Perfect for…a traditional Niseko dining experience. Nothing says tradition like a restaurant with 58 years of Japanese cuisine experience in Sapporo (and 6 in Niseko!). Their dishes are cooked with spring water from Mt. Annapuri. Choose from favorites like the A5 Hokkaido Wagyu, Charcoal Grilled Freshwater Eel on Rice, Seven Course Eel Tasting Menu, and Robata Kaiseki Course Menu. Reservations: Open for reservations here, as early as 90 days in advance. Kids under 4 not allowed, and kids aged 4-12 years old must be seated by 5:45pm.

5. Bang Bang

🍢 Perfect for…an Izakaya dinner for the whole family. One of Niseko’s highly acclaimed restaurants, this spot is a go-to for Hokkaido dishes (made with fresh, seasonal ingredients of course!) served in a fun, casual atmosphere. Yakitori skewers are an easy crowd-pleaser, but don’t miss out on other must-tries like the char-grilled Hokkaido beef loin steak, boiled Shiretoko thornyhead, assorted sashimi, and Akkeshi oysters. Cap it off with a cold glass of  beer, or sake (or juice for the kids!).

6. Sushi Shin by Miyakawa

🍣 Perfect for…a world-class Edomae sushi experience. A table at this 3-star Michelin sushi restaurant is served only the finest ingredients sourced daily all over Japan, including Toyoshu Market and Hokkaido. What to order? You can’t go wrong with the Chef’s Choice Course. This includes seasonal appetizers and nigiri sushi, and pairs well with their selection of Japanese sake and wine.
