The treetop escape of your childhood dreams is in Phuket

Tucked away on a quiet hill overlooking Cha Long Bay in Phuket, ThailandVilla Zolitude Resort & Spa feels just like a treehouse hideout… only a hundred times more luxurious, well-built, and in resort-speak, fully equipped.

The idea of a resort this unique came from a local businessman with a vision of creating a luxury villa resort within the enclaves of the resort. Spacious, green, secluded, and private are just some of the words that come to mind when you’re walking the grounds.

And lucky us, we got to experience first-hand waking up in the beautiful Treetop Duplex, just one of the accommodation options in the all-pool villa resort. The duplex sleeps two, but with ample space. We loved the gigantic bed, the marble bathtub in the centre of the room, and windows that opened all the way to allow in a stunning view. On the bottom floor of our “treehouse”, there was a small swimming pool and an outdoor deck where breakfast is served.

We’d recommend a stay here to anyone looking a break from their everyday lives, or for small groups in need of some quality time.

Luxe tip: Seek out the hidden gem that is Laem Ka Beach at the end of a coconut grove in Rawai. There are beaches located about 20 minutes from the resort, but this beach offers the softest white sand, sparkling ocean and privacy.

Must-do: Visit the serene Big Buddha, a relatively new temple famous for being the largest white marble statue of Buddha in the world at 45m tall.

  1. Next year I will be celebrating my 80th birthday I plan to take my family (20 people) to an asian resort as a big party. Ages range from 6 through 26 for the grandchildren (7 in total) remainder are adults/parents.
I want a five star resort ideally with villas, lots of activities all of the grandchildren love sports etc. golf would be nice for the men and sightseeing and possibly a shopping excursion.
If you can help or recommend someone who can I would be most grateful.
    Thank you
    Michael (Grandpa)
