Pop Art: Back to the Future at Luna2 Studios, Bali

Located in the trendy area of Seminyak and only 100 metres away from the beach, Luna2 Studios is a young-at-heart hideaway perfect for jet-setting lunatics. Luna2 Studios resembles what a ‘hotel of the future’ may have looked like in the 1960s. We can go on and on about how this ‘studiotel’ is a stunner – the 27 metre pool is amazing – but it’s not all about retro glamour for Luna2. Their efforts in going green extends to recycling waste, using low voltage lighting, supporting local farmers by purchasing from them when possible, and even growing herbs from their own rooftop. There’s so much to appreciate about this unique and extraordinary hotel in Bali. Here’s the 411 on what you need to know about this hotel we love:

What is it: Resembling modern Bali, Luna2 Studios is an ultra-intimate ‘studiotel’ named after the Soviet Union spacecraft that was the first to land on the moon in 1959.

What to expect: Think Rubik’s cube and Lego bricks. You will find retro-radical colour blocking all over the studio. Designed by owner Melanie Hall, you will find funky and cosmic spaces, plush pads, a restaurant, Lunaplex 16-seat cinema, Fuel Station and Pop! lounge bar.
