Family-friendly villas in Koh Samui you need to know about

The View

For the family who loves: Amazing views

The View Koh Samui

Why we love it: This 5-bedroom clifftop villa has direct beach access, but its elevated floors mean you get unobstructed views of the Koh Samui sunset. Bedrooms have wrap-around balconies, and the children’s bedroom includes 3 bunk beds. The kids will be very much entertained with table tennis, croquet and a 16.5m-long saltwater pool (adult supervision advised). Indoor entertainment includes movies, Lego, board games and a Wii console.

Child policies: Baby cots, play pens, high chair, children’s potties, baby monitors, bottle sterilisers are available upon request.

Baan Asan

For the family who loves: Pool day, all day

Baan Asan Koh Samui

Why we love it: This 5-bedroom beachfront villa was designed so that the four bedrooms and the main house (where the master bedroom is located) are separate pavilions that surround the pool. It’s perfect if you want to get out of bed and immediately take a plunge. Two guest suites each have an adjacent children’s room with a bunk bed and ensuite bathroom. There’s also a kids’ pool, games room and cinema room.

Enjoy evening drinks and dinner together on the garden, which lights up very prettily at night. There’s a kids’ pool, an in-pool bar/cinema and a fun kids’ playroom that can double as a bedroom (subject to T&C).

Ban Sairee

For the family who loves: Traditional Ayutthaya-style houses

Ban Sairee Koh Samui

Why we love it: Located in a semi-private secluded bay, Ban Sairee has four master bedrooms, two bunk rooms for kids (linked to the master bedrooms), a large suite, a Big Barn and a Small Barn. It sleeps up to 18 people. Every room has a view of the ocean. There’s plenty of space to run around in the garden, and there’s even a trampoline outside. Keep the little ones entertained with a TV, children’s DVDs, Wii console, toys and boardgames.

The Headland Villa 3

For the family who loves: Ocean sunsets

Headland Villa 3 Koh Samui

Why we love it: This one isn’t exactly a beachfront villa (though it still has access to the nearby beach), so if you’re not planning to go full sun-and-sand, the Headland still lets you enjoy the sunset from the comfort of the living room. The 12m-long infinity pool has a shallow end which is great for kids or for lounging with a book and cocktail in hand. For convenience, the master bedroom is connected to a twin/kids’ bunk room.

Child policies: Baby cot is available upon request, babysitting available at extra cost. Extra bed available at USD50++ per person per night.
