The basics

Baan Ora Chon is a 5-bedroom double-storey villa with a swimming pool, located on beautiful Lipa Noi Beach. It’s fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, luxurious holiday. The sliding doors on all the pavilions open wide to let in lots of light and cool air, and the large, breezy living room is the best example of this.

Who it’s for

The villa is very family-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Its five ensuite bedrooms sleep up to 10 people comfortably – one of these has two beds (a single and a trundle bed) that’s good for kids or nannies. The AV room next to the kitchen can be converted into a small sixth bedroom to accommodate two extra guests if needed. Baan Ora Chon’s wide indoor space, lush greenery and stunning beachfront location also make it a great place to host intimate weddings and events (extra charges apply).

Location

Facing west on the beautiful Lipa Noi Beach, Baan Ora Chon sets the tone for our favourite kind of Samui holiday – the kind where the sunsets are perfect, the beach is swimmable, and you also get full view of the Five Islands on the horizon. Samui Airport is an hour’s drive away, but there are lots to do nearby. The attractions in the Lipa Noi and neighbouring Taling Ngam region include the Samui Zipline, Na Mueang Waterfalls and Secret Buddha Garden, and a number of restaurants and cafés are just a short drive from the villa.

The best bits

The villa is spread out across multiple pavilions with high ceilings. One big suite is located on an upper floor, away from the rest. Guests staying here will enjoy the most privacy, with their own balcony, semi-outdoor terrazzo bathtub, and views over the garden, pool and beach.

Surrounding the pool area are three more bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms (all have bathtubs too, in case you’re wondering). Two of these are next to each other and overlook either the pool or garden, while the third is located on the lower floor of the living room pavilion.

The pool

Further ahead of the infinity pool is a spacious lawn, where you can have intimate dinners with the sunset as your backdrop. Step off that lawn and you’ll be on Lipa Noi Beach itself. Its white sand is one of the most beloved in Samui, and the waters are swimmable throughout the year, thanks to the geography of the area’s coastline. In the summer, the tide goes so low that white sand stretches almost all the way to the reef further out.

We mentioned nearby attractions, but if you don’t want to venture too far away from the villa, rest assured that there’s plenty for you to do within (families with kids, take note). The pool is already a sure-fire way to keep everyone on holiday mode, but there’s also a world-class gym in the estate, kayaks and other sports equipment you can borrow for a day at the beach, as well as spa treatments you can request to enjoy in-villa at an extra charge.

Food & Drink

As far as luxe stays go, there can always be more reasons for you to not leave the villa at all. Baan Ora Chon has a private chef who can prepare all your meals for you. Breakfast is complimentary for guests, but other meals will incur separate shopping and grocery fees. The villa is also fully staffed with a manager who can help you with anything you need, be it in terms of making arrangements for tours, booking tables at a restaurant, or just making sure everyone has a great holiday.

Book your stay at Baan Ora Chon from USD 650++/night.
