Women of Niseko: Meet Tash Sarmiento, The General Manager Curating Unforgettable Stays

With a passion for powder and perfection, Senior Hotel General Manager of The Luxe Nomad Niseko Tash Sarmiento creates experiences that are personal as they are memorable.

Tash Sarmiento has been crafting exceptional stays at Niseko’s top luxury accommodations since 2016. Before moving to Niseko, Sarmiento sharpened her skills managing ski resorts in her home country, Australia, and Canada. With more than a decade of hospitality expertise to call on, today she oversees 16 high-end properties with finesse, ensuring every guest’s visit to this world-class ski destination is nothing short of flawless.

Skiing is one of Sarmiento’s personal passions, so when she’s not orchestrating perfect vacations you’ll find her carving through fresh powder on the Niseko slopes. And her attention to detail is as sharp as her skiing technique; first-time guests are warmly greeted with personalised tips and recommendations, while regulars are welcomed like old friends, with delightful surprises and little touches that make each stay feel truly tailor-made.

Knowing Niseko inside and out fuels Sarmiento’s drive to create unforgettable moments for her guests. To experience a quieter side of what is now known as the “Aspen of Asia”, she recommends slipping away to the serene Shiribetsu River region, whose beauty sparkles through all seasons.
