Think you’ve done Seminyak? Bali’s original darling still has surprises left. From design-led villas to the tables worth lingering at, here’s how to spend three days in Seminyak.
Think of Seminyak as the starting point to every kind of Bali adventure — Canggu to the north, Ubud to the east, Jimbaran and Uluwatu to the south. Of course, you can always choose to stay close, because there’s plenty to explore right here. Seminyak’s restaurants, boutiques, and beach clubs have a way of filling three days before you’ve had a chance to feel restless.

Day 1: Arrive, Check In, Settle In
If coffee-o’clock is your favourite hour, make a beeline for Pison or Revolver for strong brews that’ll power you through a day of exploration. Or strike a pose at picturesque 32do Bali for a treat that’s a latte fun for both your eyes and taste buds.

After your caffeine fix, check in to Manis Estate, your home for the next three days. The 1,947 sqm property comprises three villas — the nine-bedroom Villa Anaya Manis, the four-bedroom Villa Manis Cantik, and the four-bedroom Villa Amara Pradi — each with a private pool and full villa team, bookable individually or together for groups of any size. Cool down with a dip and chat with your villa team about massages, private dining, and car arrangements while you’re at it (they’re like magicians that can make almost anything happen).

For dinner, head to Sambal Shrimp for authentic Indonesian flavours and traditional Balinese dance on weekday evenings. Prefer something design-forward? Kilo Kitchen is the one to bookmark. For smoky Latin flair and cocktails worth lingering over, Barbacoa is your go-to.

Day 2: Shop Till You Drop
Bali is a seriously underrated shopping destination — not only for the batik sarong and resin fridge magnets, but also for sustainable fashion labels and heritage craft brands you’ll wear back home. Seminyak is where to find them.

Uluwatu Handmade Balinese Lace has been perfecting krawang cutwork for over 50 years, and Tulola Designs, just down the street, makes jewellery rooted in Indonesian cultural heritage — the kind of shop you pop into for a look and leave with a bag. For lunch, Biku is a Seminyak institution: try the Beef Rendang, or if the timing works, their afternoon tea with date scones and mango jam.

When the shopping starts catching up with you, Anaya Aesthetics Bali is perfectly placed for a revitalising facial that’ll have you golden-hour-ready. Head back to freshen up, then out to the uber-cool Desa Potato Head for the evening. Snag a table at the Beach Club before the sun drops — their Conscious Cocktails are made with local ingredients and premium arak, Indonesia’s own distilled spirit — then head upstairs to Kaum for dinner that takes Indonesian regional cooking seriously.

Day 3: A Day Done Right
The last full day is best treated the way the island intends: unhurried and with good food at regular intervals. Brunch at Sisterfields offers the classic Bali café experience, or go plant-based at KYND Community — the smoothie bowls here have earned their own cult following. Stop by Krakakoa mid-morning for a farm-to-bar chocolate workshop or simply to stock up on single-origin Indonesian bars worth taking home.

For lunch, stroll the beachfront: SugarSand for Japanese-inflected plates, La Lucciola for wood-fired pizza with the waves in eyeline, or Ku De Ta for the Seminyak classic that’s been doing it right for over a decade. Browse BIASA+ or John Hardy after, or get hands-on at a silver-smithing class with Padi Jewelry Classes.

Round it all out with a Balinese massage at Bodyworks Spa or Sundari Wellness Spa — or ask your villa team to arrange an in-villa treatment For a final dinner, Merah Putih has the architecture and the cooking to match it, while The Long Table inside the John Hardy Gallery offers something cosier through family recipes passed down.

Day 4: One Last Morning

There’s always time for one more thing before the airport. A jamu at The Jamu Bar at Desa Potato Head makes for a grounding start to the last few hours. Hit Paulina Katarina for a final browse, or grab a chocolate tart at Monsieur Spoon that will ruin all other pastries for you.
If 72 hours doesn’t sound enough, you’re absolutely right. Have you been to Jimbaran and Uluwatu yet?
