You Won’t be Getting a KFC Candle This Christmas, But Here Are Vacation-Inspired Candles You Can Get

Not coming to stores near you: The KFC candle that’s been popping up on all our Facebook news feeds. Unfortunately for all stockings all over the world, the candle was a limited edition make created solely for KFCs New Zealand’s Instagram giveaway. So with Christmas just around the corner, we thought we’d help with gift suggestions for candles just as deliciously scented. And of course, we mean travel-inspired candles that will turn your home into a tropical paradise.

#1 Malin + Goetz Mojito Candle

As avid mojito-connoisseurs ourselves, we leave no beach untouched without an oder of our favourite minty cocktail. This candle’s top notes are lime, mint leaves, and peppery basil, with a heart of spearmint and chinese mint, and a base note of white musk. Remember to save the glasses for making mojitos!

#2 Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Home Candle

Still on a tropical note, JML’s signature fragrance is a delightful ‘Caribbean breeze’ blend of peppery basil and white thyme, with a lime twist. You’ve got 45 hours of burn time to enjoy it.

#3 Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam

Gotta love a big, fat 3-wick candle! Especially when it’s made using the highest concentration of fragrance oils imaginable (or possibly allowed). This candle smells just as good as it looks with woodland balsam, eucalyptus, fir branches and cedarwood.

#4 Diptyque Tomas Maier: Palm Beach

Exclusive to stores, this very, very expensive candle evokes a walled, tropical garden on a southern Florida barrier island. It features scents of sea salt, freshly-cut grass, jasmine, iris, lemon and lime — the whole nine yards of tropical bliss.
