Postcard from…Capella Singapore!

Celeb Nomads Jocelyn Luko and Anthony Sandstrom loved up at Capella, Singapore!

The Luxe Nomad caught up with supermodel ‘it’ couple and Celebrity Nomads Jocelyn Luko and Anthony Sandstrom when they were recently in Singapore to find out their top Lion City picks!

From one power city to another, what is it about Singapore that you wish Hong Kong had?

We wish Hong Kong had more nature like Singapore. More beautiful green trees and open spaces.

What brought you to the Lion city?

Anthony had a DJ gig to play for a Mont Blanc event.

Made your digs at…

The amazing, beautiful, relaxing Capella hotel on Sentosa Island.

Is that just a normal day for a power couple like you two or is it a combination of luxe versus mix?

We definitely like to mix it up. Sometimes we’re looking for that luxurious hotel and other times we look for a tiny bed and breakfast in the countryside and sometimes we’re camping in the mountains. It really depends on where we’re going and what we want from that particular vacation.

Check out the pools!

Worth getting out of bed for…

The amazing pools at Capella which are so peaceful and surrounded by the gorgeous trees and beautiful view.

Cozying up with a bottle of wine and a comfy bed!

Worth staying in bed for (wink, wink)…

The amazing bed. It was so soft and cozy with the perfect pillows and duvet. When we were there Saturday it rained all day but we actually were really happy because the villas are sooooo romantic and it’s the most amazing thing to cuddle in the bed and look out through their big windows, watch the rain fall and have the beautiful view of the plunge pool and trees. It’s like a cozy oasis. We had wine, room service and watched the DVDs that the hotel’s library supplies to all their guests on a complimentary basis.

Catching some sun at the pool 🙂

Must know?

Capella is in the perfect location because it’s close enough to everything and if you need to go anywhere the hotel calls a taxi for you immediately. Yet it’s far enough from the city to have peace and quiet and just relax and enjoy the peacocks they have roaming around the hotel grounds.

When the sun rises, you…

We normally go for lunch with friends… We love Singaporean chilli crab…so yummy! We also love Universal Studio’s and shopping at Orchard Road.

When the sun sets…

There are so many yummy restaurants, nice bars and clubs in Singapore there’s always some place nice to go. We also like the night safari at the Zoo.

We don’t want to leave!

If you could stay all over again, you would…

Definitely stay longer!

When in Rome (or in this case Singapore!), remember to…

Remember to eat yummy chicken rice and chilli crab.

Drop some serious cash at?

You can go shopping on Orchard Road, there’s so much to choose from and something for everyone.

Watch out for…

Watch out for the rain. Always bring an umbrella.

Best things about the trip?

Enjoying the beautiful Capella hotel together. It was just what we needed to spend some quality time at a beautiful, relaxing hotel and recharge our batteries. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we immediately relaxed and felt like we were in a different world. Perfect! They have the best customer service and are all so friendly. Everything at the hotel was luxurious. They thought of everything, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Loved it! Will definitely be back!

Afternoon treats on the verandah

Your top tips for Capella…

Make sure to check out their beautiful library where you can enjoy tea, scones and other treats. And definitely make use of their beautiful pools and enjoy.
