Hogwarts will host Christmas dinner in the Great Hall again

So what if that Hogwarts letter never came? At least you’re not missing out on the epic Christmas dinner that the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is so famous for.

From 10 to 12 December 2018, Warner Bros Studio Tour in London is bringing back its Christmas feast in the Great Hall. There’ll be festive food you’ve seen the Harry Potter stars (mostly Rupert, really) tucking into, though we must admit it’s a slight letdown that magically appearing food is still a feat not yet conquered.

What’s on the menu?

The first two courses of the dinner will be taken in the Great Hall film set, converted for the special occasion. There’s black treacle glazed salmon for appetizer and butter roasted stuffed turkey for the main meal, all paired with wines, with vegan and vegetarian options available. The banquet is for Muggles over 18 only – sorry, kids, but the adult table has never looked cooler. Guests even get their own wands!

After dinner, you’re free to roam Diagon Alley, visit the rest of the studio, or run for dessert, which will be served on Platform 9 ¾. Before you ask, of course there’ll be Butterbeer too. Guests – er, we mean long-lost Hogwarts students – will end the night with music and dancing.

The Christmas feast is only a small part of the Studio Tour’s Hogwarts in the Snow festive programme, which will see its many Harry Potter sets decorated with yuletide cheer. Portkey thyself to London for Christmas; set every alarm in the house for when tickets for the dinner, priced at GBP 240 per Muggle, go on sale on 25 September.
